Introduction
A&G Driving School Ltd. is committed to providing a safe, professional, and effective learning environment for all students.
This document outlines the policies, responsibilities, and conditions governing participation in driver training programs offered by A&G Driving School Ltd.
By enrolling in any training program, students confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the policies outlined in this agreement.
Media Consent (Photo & Video Policy)
For training, safety, and promotional purposes, photos or videos may occasionally be taken during classroom, yard, or road training sessions.
These recordings may be used for:

Training and instructional review

Safety and instructor feedback
-
Promotional materials
-
Website or social media content
Students who do not wish to appear in promotional media must notify the school in writing before the start of training.
A&G Driving School Ltd. will not publish personal information such as full names without consent.
Assumption of Risk
Driver training involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Vehicle collisions
-
Personal injury
-
Damage to property
-
Exposure to road hazards
By participating in training, students acknowledge these risks and agree that participation is voluntary and at their own risk.
Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the student agrees that A&G Driving School Ltd., its owners, employees, instructors, and representatives shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, accident, damage, or claim arising from participation in training.
This includes incidents occurring during:

Classroom training
-
Yard activities
-
Pre-trip inspections
-
On-road driving sessions
-
ICBC road tests
-
Travel to or from training locations
Release & Indemnification
Students agree to release, defend, and hold harmless A&G Driving School Ltd. and its instructors from any claims, damages, or liabilities resulting from participation in driver training.
Students also agree to indemnify A&G Driving School Ltd. against any third-party claims arising from their actions during training.
Medical Fitness
Students must confirm they are medically fit to participate in driver training.
Students must disclose any medical conditions that may affect their ability to safely operate a vehicle.
Students must meet all ICBC licensing and medical fitness requirements before beginning training.
Failure to disclose relevant medical conditions may result in termination of training without refund.
Lesson Scheduling
Training sessions are scheduled based on instructor and vehicle availability.

Students must provide at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule lessons.

Failure to provide notice may result in the lesson being counted as completed.

Each 1-hour driving lesson includes approximately 10 minutes of feedback.

Only one instructor and one student are permitted in the vehicle during training.
Student Conduct
Students must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times.
The following behavior may result in suspension or termination of training without refund:

Unsafe driving behavior
-
Refusal to follow instructor instructions
-
Harassment or discrimination
-
Intoxication or impairment
-
Damage to school equipment or vehicles
Safety Requirements
Students must follow all safety requirements during training.
This includes:

Wearing closed-toe footwear
-
Wearing a high-visibility safety vest during yard activities
-
Following all safety instructions given by instructors during classroom, yard, and road training
Failure to comply may result in lesson cancellation or suspension of training.
Truck Entry & Exit Safety
Students must follow proper safety procedures when entering or exiting commercial vehicles.

Maintain three-point contact when getting in or out of the truck cab

Use handholds and steps at all times
-
Jumping from the vehicle is strictly prohibited
Failure to follow these procedures may result in lesson cancellation or additional safety instruction.
Vehicle Cleanliness Policy
To maintain a professional and safe training environment:

Students must keep the vehicle clean at all times
-
No garbage is allowed inside the truck cab
-
Dirty gloves, muddy boots, or contaminated clothing are not permitted inside the cab
Students may be asked to clean the vehicle if excessive dirt or garbage is left behind.
Drug & Alcohol Policy
A&G Driving School Ltd. maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol.
Training will not proceed if a student appears to be:

Under the influence of alcohol
-
Under the influence of drugs
-
Impaired in any way that may affect safe vehicle operation
Lessons cancelled due to impairment may be considered a missed lesson and will not be refunded.
Refund & Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be issued once training has started for Class 1 or Class 3 programs.

To cancel enrollment before training begins, students must provide 7 days notice via email or text.
-
A $1,000 cancellation fee applies when cancelling a reserved training seat.
-
Missed lessons without notice may be counted as completed training time.
Road Test Policy
Road test appointments are scheduled based on ICBC availability.
-
ICBC road test booking fees are the responsibility of the student.
-
The training package includes use of the training vehicle for the first road test only.
If a student fails the first road test:
-
Additional training may be recommended.
-
Vehicle use and instructor time will be subject to additional fees.
Traffic Violations & Fines
Students are responsible for any traffic violations, tickets, or penalties issued while operating the training vehicle.
This includes:

Speeding violations
-
Traffic signal violations
-
Parking violations
-
Any other offence issued by law enforcement
Students agree to accept full responsibility for fines issued due to their driving actions.
Vehicle Damage Responsibility
Students must operate all training vehicles safely and according to instructor directions.
Students may be held responsible for damages caused by:

Reckless or intentional misconduct
-
Failure to follow instructor directions
-
Unsafe operation of the vehicle
If damage occurs due to negligence, the student may be responsible for:

Insurance deductible costs
-
Repair costs not covered by insurance
A&G Driving School Ltd. reserves the right to terminate training if a student operates equipment in an unsafe manner.
Weather & Mechanical Delays
Training schedules may be affected by conditions beyond the school’s control, including:

Severe weather
-
Mechanical issues with vehicles
-
Road closures or unsafe road conditions
-
ICBC road test delays
Training may be rescheduled for safety reasons, and such delays do not qualify for refunds.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
Any disputes arising from this agreement will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
